Lemon Meringue Pie

Midnight Feast is an inclusive space. We have tea together. We share pie. We turn sour into sweet.

Domestic violence is a complex social issue. Lemon Meringue Pie is an advocacy initiative designed as a restorative programme to enable artists who have experienced trauma to return to work. We provide a nurturing, safe environment to ease back into the performance space. And with the help of industry professionals, we facilitate bringing creative visions to fruition.

Thanks to Opera Australia, this initiative is on the boil.

‘we can do better’

‘we can do better’ is an ongoing advocacy campaign for disability rights. It’s important because people who are living with disabilities encounter issues that are invisible to the majority of the public (80 per cent of the population) every day. They know what needs fixing. The ‘we can do better’ campaign sheds light on what needs fixing and offers a solution.

Kate Hood is an actor and an advocate for disability rights. She joins us in launching our global advocacy movement. She was integral to facilitating the Sydney Theatre Company’s first relaxed performance.
